I miss TTI-Rich's quirky sense of humour. This board is dead without him.
I hope he'll be back soon, even if he's not permanently employed by TTI.

Hey guys,
I left the company last summer. I'm doing mainstream now, trying to get it going full time. Luckily I have one site that is showing a lot of promise so that is good. 2009 was a bitch for me, I'm hoping that 2010 will be better.

Hey rich, does your mainstream affiliate is a stand alone program or a network affiliate program like clickbank or paydotcom? I tried paydotcom last year without any success, they seems to use us to promote their programs rather than pay us!
The commission of most mainstream affiliate programs is about 10%, can't match with adult affiliate. How can we made a living with such low commission rate?
If you don't mine, please share your experience in doing mainstream, some webmasters are interested to learn it.

I was doing okay with Clickbank for a while but then the good site I was promoting vanished one night and that was it for CB. They have some good stuff there but you have to sift through tons of garbage to find it.
Now I focus on Adsense and I'm fortunate enough to be able to get a lot of clicks. 100% of my traffic is free from Google but they don't buy a damned thing so that is why I put Adsense on the site and that works pretty good.
I have a membership site almost ready to go but it is taking forever to build. I think I'm just going to use PayPal for that, not sure. The goal is to have it done by the end of January, we'll see.
And yes, a lot of mainstream stuff has low payouts, I think the way around it is to just keep looking for something good or to invent yourself.

I agree, this place has slowed down since Rich tapped into the mainstream industry.
